A lot can change in a month..

The truth is, I don't have internet in my apartment. Wow. Don't have internet? Who does that? Clearly I do. So now, I sit at the Yeshiva and type (although I am sure that there will be a line of people shortly also in my situation..)

THe past 30 days have been great. I have finally made Aliyah. That means, that i have decided to officially live in Israel, pay taxes, deal with lineups and the crazyness - but also it means that I am more than just a visitor, I am apart of the communityand theland. I did an instand aliah, so I filled out some forms, showed up at an office and POOF I became an Oleh Chadisha. I went with a good friend of mine and fought with him and the official from the Gov't over the spelling of my name - I won (I wanted an "alef" in my last name) after the whole process, we went out and ate schwarma - so israeli :)

I have an I.D. number, health insurance, a bank account and a few other things that I signed up for that I still don't know what they are - however - I'm official!

Over the past few weeks there have been some visitors here. A very good friend of mine was here from Toronto and I accidently stole his sweatshirt (oopss.. c'mon, its a hoodie... with a front pocket!) It was wonderful seeing him. (When are YOU coming to visit??) Gone to a few protests (ok one, I complained the whole time.. but not the point) learned that burgers bar has more than just burgers, found out that the cat (moe) thinks that it's O.K. to run out the door, Sibera is warmer then my apartment, sprained an ankle, watched half the superbowl, bought some jeans, looking at buying a phone, went to cousins bat mitzvah, walked in the snow, did some good learning, making stronger friendships.

OK ok. A lot of this is useless info, but it was time to hear what Iw as doing, and who knows if anyone is reading this, but now you get to know everything that i am doing and when. :) I also picked up kippah making again...

Now, I did say Imade ALiyah (woohoo) now what?

Continue at Yeshiva (hopefully another year)
ULpan in Jan 2006 (this way I dont have tomiss Rinus and Jonus wedding)
Go back to school (maybe for an MBA...ooh ahhh!)

This summer I need a job - so people (if you are in Toronto) Hire me!

Ok, enough rambling. It's cold and wet outside, but I need to get upstairs for class.

Be in touch :)

Nikki
